My name is Lauren Edman, and I sing and write songs. You may know me from my work with Sleepthief or Delta-S, but that's probably about it right now. I have loads more songs in the works that will eventually be released in the form of an album.

I got into sound recording, mixing, programming and producing with the idea that I could technically make a whole song myself. However, that doesn't always happen the way I would like it to. I majored in Sound Recording Technology and Applied Music at SUNY College at Fredonia.

One time, in a bizarre turn of events, I was possessed to audition for Amateur Night at the Apollo. I performed there on February 2nd, 2005. My song was "This Woman's Work." For what it's worth, I didn't get booed off the stage. It was absolutely terrifying.

I've played piano for most of my life, and I live in a tiny room in Queens. I have a computer in my tiny room that I do all of my programming on, but I'll be moving soon. To Queens, most likely. It will be the same story there, but hopefully my room won't be quite as tiny. Keep your fingers crossed.

For those confused by the results when doing a websearch for Lauren Edman, I am not from Australia. That is a completely different Lauren Edman.
